This past weekend, we went to visit our nieces up north to celebrate the number 5 all around. We had a great time, hanging out, snuggling with the 5 month old, and playing with the 5 year old! She loved her cupcake birthday shirt. The Dh was helping me a little on this one. He voted to not have the cupcake, and just the 5. he was vetoed by the designer...
This is an inexpensive but thoughtful gift and it really doesn't take a lot of time. I stock up on plain shirts in the kids department. I have a number 1 to do this week.... I hope to find the time. I am thinking an airplane with a smoke stream.....
This is on our way to the park while uncle T ran ahead.
I was amazed at her fearlessness at the park compared to just a year ago. I found myself being one of those annoying "hovering" aunties, until I got a feel for her ability. She wanted to spin on a fixed bar with one leg in somersault style... (i spent hours doing the same thing in elementary school). I had to keep reminding the kids at the park and myself that she is almost five, that means four..... and although she is as tall as all get out.... she can't complete a cherry bomb drop today. geezzzz.
So we stuck to the ground as much as possible. A fun roll down the hill in the falling leaves, suited my nervous system better.
Then uncle t needed some help with his pull ups.....
We skipped and piggy backed our way back to the house in a jiffy because the temperature dropped like rocket, how neat it is to really have four seasons.
This is what awaited us at home! How can anyone resist this face?
5 months is a great age. i hope her mother and father don't kill me for posting this. i could not resist. i am a proud auntie.
We {heart} our little nieces and celebrate their milestones. Cheers to 5!
