No doubt about it.

Yesterday, I told a woman in a scrapbooking class that,

 "i have a love affair with my iphone."

 She looked at me and her mouth dropped open.

 I just smiled.

Okay so my language could have been less severe, but I do.

Sorry darling hubby.

 Well, he already knows that. heck, he bought it for me. 

Anyhow I downloaded a new application called shakeitphoto. It turns the pictures you take into polaroids!! All while you shake the phone, as if you were shaking a old polaroid waiting for the picture to show up!

I love the look of the photos, so here is a sample of some of my halloween decorations around the house. (I was practicing the new app).

 

 

Opps, he's not a halloween decoration. He is just orange.

By the way.... As far as he is concerned.... kitty toilet training is in stage 3! The litter box is at the height of the toilet. The point is for the cat to get used to jumping on the ring of the toilet seat. We have had success. I think we may have had a little spill while I was at work the other night, so he seems to be a little bit shy about trying again, but keep your fingers crossed.

Banner love...

I am having so much fun with the website picnik . The banner was created on the site. I took the photo one evening outside our favorite pizza joint. I think my hubby must cringe every time I say "wait a second, let me get the camera".... poor fellow. He thinks I look like a tourist. I am over it. I worried for a long time. I worried that I must look like a tourist, and then I realized I may never see any of these people ever again, so let them think I am a tourist, big deal.  The joy I get out of taking the photos and editing them is incredible. I am on a photography journey, learning little by little. When I take a great photo like the sun shinning through the clouds above on my banner, my heart skips a beat. So there I go, the tourist who needs a defibrillator. Whose hubby waits patiently cringing.

Daffodils in the sunshine...

What is it about flowers?
They make me so HAPPY.
I am the kind of girl that buys them for myself often. I don't have qualms or guilt about buying them for myself. I enjoy every minute that they surround me, so why not surround myself with them when I can?
When my dh (darling husband) buys them for me, the flowers are extra special. It is the little kindnesses we do for one another, that make up this beautiful life we have. So I need to remind myself to live it and enjoy every little minute....

Recently my mom took me to a place in which the locals call Daffodil Hill, near Coarsegold, CA. Not this famous Daffodil Hill, although this may be fun to visit sometime. This is a family property that they have turned into a mini park that is open to the public in honor of thier mother. Once a year all of the daffodils bloom across this park nestled in a valley. It is a spectacular site! Every bulb was planted in memory of one lady. A very special lady to her family and community. What is even more enriching about the experience is that her legacy touches people long after she has gone. I would be honored to lead a life, which touches others souls long after I am gone. So inspiring....

I wish I had photos of Daffodil Hill, but I was in awe at the pure beauty and living in the moment when I visited. Perhaps next year I will remember to take some photos!

My favorite trees...

An Ornamental Pear (i think)
These trees lined my neighborhood when I was growing up and they bloomed around my birthday every year. I love them. I just recently realized that my new home and my work is surrounded by them. They bloom a month later because I live further north in California, but they still are beautiful to me. I have memories of my childhood standing underneath the tree in our yard when a breeze picked up and the petals began to fly into to air. It was as close to a snow shower that I usually would experience in February. The street would turn white with petals! They are in bloom now, for a week or so. I am enjoying every minute of it. I still love everything about them.

So if you see a lady spinning underneath the trees with her arms spread wide while the trees sprinkle their petals all around her. Please join me in a magical moment of nature.: )

32 was a good year....

I was inspired by ali's weekend creative a couple of weeks ago. It prompted me to list (I like list's) big and little things that you never expected to happen over the last year. So I chose this number of things because it was my 32 year of life. Geez that sounds old.

Happy Birthday BFF!

Do you remember these? You thought I was ridiculous for making you stop in the rain to take this picture while we were walking the miracle mile in Chicago last year. I could have posted the one of us on the park bench next to the lady made out of lego's. But I thought you may get a little irritated at me for that. I was unable to find the one you took of me when you forced me to mount the horse statue in Vegas. That was not one of my best moments, but it could be one of the funniest. I am not so sure that picture will ever make the blog. {sigh....}
What I am sure about is that you know what you mean to me, I thank you for providing so much laughter and in times so much comfort. It is a joy to watch you become the best mother I have ever seen. It is a joy to watch your children grow up happy and healthy and feel like a part of your family. It is a joy to be your friend for seven years. You are the best! Happy Birthday J! Get out and enjoy yourself!! Sorry I am not there to spend it with you. To good times ahead! cheers....

Jetting off to...

The Valley of the SUN!!! We are getting out of the cold and rain, and heading to the desert for some sunbathing, hiking, shopping, and snuggling with our 2 month old nephew!!! I just love pictures taken from an airplane. I just love flying in general. Maybe someday I may get my pilots license.

We are planning a little road trip up to Sedona. Perhaps I will make another one of these!

Speaking about making things.....Today I did a little craft valentine project from Martha's online website. It is a felt fourtune cookie. It looked like I had everything I needed and I thought it was going to be really fast, but it was not. So I only had time to make one.

Maybe if you get into a rhythm, it might be a bit speedier. It needs some friends to go with it, in different colors. It looks a little sad and lonely. But you can fill them with a note, and some special candy treats! GO MARTHA!!! I am not really sure how fortune cookies became a part of valentines day, but why question?

Craft on! Make cute things! Laugh about them.

I have been working on a little scrapbook something that I was inspired by last week on ali's blog. She has started a simple to more complex project to do over the weekend. I love it. Sometimes I may do it and other times I may not. But this past weekend creative project seemed like a great one. I think I may do it every year. I love the idea. I will post my list of little and big things that I never expected to happen in 2007, when I return....
